Heavy Diesel Mechanic

An excellent opportunity for an experienced and qualified heavy diesel mechanic to join this team.  The company has roles available at most of its locations nationwide.

This company is very well-established and is the New Zealand Distributor for a number of leading earthmoving and forestry Equipment brands.

The successful candidate will be required to perform inspections and preparation on new equipment and repairs and maintenance on a range of machinery to meet customer demands. The work includes diagnosis and fault finding, mechanical and hydraulic repairs and rebuilds, as well as general machinery maintenance.

The successful applicant must have:

  • Proven field service experience
  • A strong work ethic and a desire to take on a challenge
  • Exceptional organisational skills
  • Mechanical Trade Certification (Heavy Vehicle).
  • Minimum of 5 years post trade experience, including hydraulic knowledge
  • Mobile plant experience (earthmoving/forestry) is preferred
  • Excellent diagnostic and repair skills
  • Strong commitment to meeting customer requirements
  • Dedicated to safety and quality assurance
