Auto Electrician / Air Conditioning Technician

Our client specialises in the fitting of electrical, air conditioning work, electronic systems, fitting accessories in motor vehicles, and finding and rectifying faults. All work is carried out to a high standard, maintaining high levels of technical and customer service, which is supported by years of experience in the auto trade.
We are currently looking for an Automotive Electrician / Air Con Expert to join their team based in Waikato. This role will have you playing a key part in the ongoing servicing and maintenance of customer/client vehicles across light vehicles, heavy transport units, earthmoving equipment and agricultural machinery. Reporting to the Manager, the successful candidate will have exposure to top of the line diagnostic equipment; and be open and willing to learn, progress and grow within the team.
To be successful in this role you will have:
- Trade Certificate in Automotive Electrical Engineering or Service Technician
- Air Conditioning experience
- Clean Full Drivers Licence
- Strong fault finding and diagnostic skills
- Proven experience as a self-starter working individually and part of a team
- The ability to work autonomously
- Based in the Hamilton area or willing to relocate here.
You will have at least 4 years’ experience working with heavy transport and/or earthmoving equipment. You will be confident in system based diagnostics and problem solving. With your knowledge and experience, you will be able to help and train apprentices to assist them with demonstrating a solid understanding of their chosen trade.
